CAD Technician - Orange Frog Productions Inc.

Job Type: This is a Permanent, Full Time position

The CAD technician is responsible for creating detailed technical drawings based on the lighting designs to be utilized in the lighting installation for concerts and live entertainment / corporate events using WSIWYG software.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with designer to gather requirements to convert lighting designs into technical plans
  • Read and interpret site and venue drawings to obtain specifications
  • Revise and update existing drawings reflecting design changes
  • Site visits and site survey to create accurate drawings of locations / venues

Qualification Standards:

  • Minimum 2 years’ related work experience
  • Post Secondary education
  • Applicant should be a self starter with good communication skills and willing to be a team player
  • Proficient in computer programs (MS Office , Word , Excel, Outook) including AutoCAD and Vectorworks and WSIWYG
  • Excellent communications skills both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Labour Coordinator - Orange Frog Productions Inc.

Job Type: This is a permanent, full time position

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Employee and Freelance Administration: provide direct supervision of employees and freelancers, including managing personal information and qualifications, timekeeping, approval of invoices and performance appraisals
  • Promote motivation, communication, teamwork and positive attitude between all employees
  • Build relationships and negotiate rates for outside labour
  • Data entry of sub-contractors labour hours and approve validated time in booking system for processing payment
  • Prepare, update, and distribute necessary labour-related documentation (ie: labour PO’s, event confirmation information)
  • Book any travel, hotels, car rentals required for travelling crew

Skill sets include:

  • Excellent organizational skills (filing, maintaining databases, multi-tasking)
  • Attention to detail is necessary due to the high need for accuracy
  • Strong telephone manner & communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel and outlook
  • Resourceful and independent

Qualifications

  • Post Secondary education
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Applicant should be a self starter with good communication skills and willing to be a team player
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced changing environment
  • Knowledge and experience in live event production an asset
